MACARTHUR Rams soccer player and New Zealand representative Steven Old recently passed on some of his skills to Camden South Public School pupils.
Old and Football NSW development coaches taught a group of children the benefits of being active and having fun in a team sport, through the McDonalds and Football NSW Kick it Kids Schools Development Program.
The 22-year-old defender said that encouraging and supporting young soccer players through the one-hour program was important.
``A great way to get kids involved and active is by helping them enjoy playing sport,'' Old said.
``We have always had a good football following in Macarthur, which is why the schoolkids are so eager to get involved.''
Football NSW school development officers will visit more than 400 schools, teaching skills such as passing, dribbling, juggling and heading balls.
