SOCCER player Matt Sadler is producing some critical finishing in front of goal for the under-18s Macarthur Rams team this season.
Sadler is showing his older counterparts in the NSW Premier League the way things should be done.
Adding to his tally of goals on Sunday, Sadler banged in four against Sydney Olympic in his team's 6-1 win.
His goals at Belmore Sports Ground helped the under 18s climb to third on
the Premier Youth League ladder.
Sadler is the team's leading goal-scorer, with 10 this season, and is well on the way to receiving the club's Golden Boot award for the most goals scored in a season.
Meanwhile, Macarthur Rams plummeted to last position on the ladder following their 5-0 defeat against Sydney Olympic on Sunday.
A disappointed Rams' coach Paul Carter said several defensive lapses cost his team the game at Belmore Sports Ground.
``The past two weeks against Sutherland and Sydney United were outstanding results but half the team had lacklustre performances on Sunday,'' he said.
``We gave them four goals, literally passed the ball to them four times.
``I'll be stepping up the training to four
or five nights this week.
``We had too many players who just didn't turn up to play on the day and we cannot afford to carry passengers.''
Under-20s Rams drew 2-2.
Rams play away against APIA Leichhardt at Lambert Park on Sunday at 3pm.
